Jane and I go back a long way! Ever since we met in the third grade, we’ve stopped counting how many years that is, we have seen each other through the good times and the bad times in each of our lives. I am truly honored to have such a close, devoted and supportive friend as Jane in my life. No matter what life threw at us we were always there for each other. Thank you Karen for showing me such a wonderful example of how to be independent and go for what you want out of life!

Susan is my older sister (age 31). I have always admired Susan’s enthusiasm and zest for life. Just as Karen has shown me by example, Susan has shown me by example to make the most out of the life that we are given and to always live each day to it’s fullest. When I was a little girl, Susan used to call me ‘Bep with pep’. Thanks to her shining example, those of you who know me can vouch for it, I am always filled with enthusiasm and ‘pep’. Keep on smiling Susan!!!

Steven is a very independent minded person and I have always admired his ability to venture out into the world and stay true to his values and beliefs. Officiant

Reverend Sarah Margaret Beaman

Rev. Sarah Margaret Beaman is a minister from Saint Matthew’s Old Catholic Church in Westminster.

We chose Rev. Sarah Margaret Beaman to be the officiant for our wedding ceremony for several reasons. Since we were both raised Catholic, we felt like it was appropriate to choose a minister affiliated with the Catholic Church. Rev. Beaman is a member of Saint Matthew’s Old Catholic Church in Westminster, California. She was recommended by several of Jacques’ friends who were also married by Rev. Beaman. We also chose her because she was very open to the idea of allowing the wedding couple to create a wedding ceremony that was unique to their own individual values and beliefs. Therefore, we have included traditions such as the Guatemalan Wedding chain, the Indian Wedding Prayer, and the Unity Candle. Elizabeth’s Mom and Dad will both walk her down the aisle and both of Jacques’ parents will also ‘give him freely into marriage.’ We won’t reveal all of our wedding ceremony. It will give you an incentive to come to the ceremony to see what other wonderful things we have planned! We look forward to seeing you there!
